Why am I doing this to me?

I didn't get a whole lot done today; I really should not have gone to bed so late yesterday, and today I repeated my mistake. I didn't implement a UI or an animation/scripting system. I only got to work on the map (about halfway done). Tomorrow I'll hopefully be able to complete the map and improve my renderer, so that it can read .tmx files and render several layers.
